Description

Good God Almighty! I finished Dinovember 2017! Thirty different dinosaur pictures, one after the other! I think it was Charles Schulz who said, "Being a cartoonist means doing the same thing different everyday." That pretty much sums it up. I am tired but grateful for all the support and faves. I'll go back to thanking people individually for any future faves that you all make. I just avoided it for the month to my "regulars" to save time. I wasn't sure which dinosaur to use as my last piece, but I thought, "Hey I never did any sauropods. How about Brontosaurus/Apatosaurus? Now put some pretty purple stripes on him because why not?" Here are some things that I've learned over Dinovember 2017:
1. MS Paint's "pencil" feature works best since I draw in pencil, but matching up the colors is still tough.
2. Quantity over quality if necessary. Sometimes to make it on time you have to just do two or three quick doodles a night and pace them out over the next few days.
3. There are people that take dinosaur weight more seriously than the budget, environment, get-well cards to their mothers, and the threat of nuclear war COMBINED. We are talking frothing at the mouth levels of rage here.
4. Two of my groups blipped out of existence at some point, but Deviant-art still has them as "active." Clearly the owners and founders never took them down, but they're still in my first options for "Submit to Group."
5. There's such a thing as "Gojirasaurus." Okay. I still need to look this guy up.
6. Dinosaur hands could not rotate. I usually find this out when I upload a really old picture of mine.
7. I need to practice scenery.
Thanks again for all the positive support.
